For furnaces in the attic there is a second condensate drain pan. There are two types of drain pans.
In most cases a full drain pan means that you have a clogged drainpipe.
This is usually located directly under the unit. When everything is in full working order your ac unit can run smoothly the drain pan drains excess moisture out of your home and nothing is negatively affected. A primary pan that is installed on the coil and an auxiliary pan that is either installed inside the unit below the primary pan or under the unit. It may also be covered by a removable access panel.
